I have nothing but perfect memories of Loren. We met at  uncle Art and aunt Babe’s ranch when I was 15, too young to carry a rifle. I was paired up with him from then on. He was so kind and patient. He looked past my shortcomings and helped me become an outdoorsman. Art called him “boy” and teased him endlessly. The last time I talked to him was at Art’s funeral.  We remembered the best of times together, cried a little and laughed a lot. He was a class act😊
I always remember your birthday is in December!! Happy Heavenly Birthday my friend!!
I am so sorry Patsy and everyone. I am still looking for my pictures. I had them in the storage below, and I think my landlord and husband threw out my box of pictures! I am so , so angry at them! They were all with students on campus, and with the dog when he brought the adorable one with him to the campus lawn. One picture is at a graduation, and he is all decked out in his outfit...on with his fiend Jeff Stewart.....ahhhhhhh..... I guess Loren wouldn't want me to lose precious energy over anger....but, I still want to find those pictures! It was 1997-2000? We didn't even have our digital then, right? I would have had tons of copies! Deaf Betsy xx   Hugs all!!

I knew Loren and his parents growing up in Wishram, WA. He was a man with incredible integrity and great compassion for others-a true servant to society and a person whom I will always hold dear in my heart. My prayers and condolences to Patsy and his family  as he will be missed but home now forever with Jesus.

I was shocked when I heard the news of Loren's passing as I believe he is Infinity itself! B xx
My sweet, sweet friend, I just found out!! I'm so glad the last time we spent together was walking in the woods,  sharing our deepest thoughts, a quick hug and  kiss, then our goodbye. I saw you many times in Safeway after that but made the choice not to approach; we learned what we needed to learn, we shared what need to be shared, we had a moment in this great universe of infinity and it will always be part of my circle of life, a life that begins where it ends and ends where it begins. Betsy xx

We will miss Loren very much. He was a good friend for many years, beginning in the 1970s when we were all Peace Corps volunteers in Kenya. Loren was an excellent math teacher, but he taught us all so much, about honesty, integrity, humor, and good will. He was a phenomenal basketball player in those days. He and Chris even had a team of Peace Corps volunteers who would play bball together in Kisumu.

When Chris and I rode our bicycles across the country in 2018, our stop at Loren's house was a highlight. We stayed for a few days, and took a nice tour with Loren around his community. He knew every nook and cranny of the place!

Love,

Kathy and Chris Beach

Loren is my friend. I met Loren in the Fall of 1998. He became my math teacher, tutor, mentor and lifelong friend.

I am a better man, husband, father and friend for having known Loren. Because of his steadfast, love and unwavering service to me I am a college graduate.

I am a better man, husband, father and friend for having known Loren. Because of his steadfast, love and unwavering service to me, I am a college graduate (in his 80s. He taught himself probability of statistics so that he could tutor me in earning a bachelors degree, which I did).

Loren served me and my sons and never turned down an opportunity to serve anyone in need. He never charged me a dime for all of the countless hours of math tutoring, he has given me. On the contrary, he would often feed me and make sure I had tasty treats and cold Coca-Cola while we did math at his dining room table.

It was my family and I’s pleasure to serve him back, however, our service to him paled in  comparison to his service to us.

My thoughts were with him on the day he passed. I called him to invite him on a nature outing. But he had already crossed over into eternity.

Loren”s work on earth has been accomplished; he ran his race and won. And now his eternal work has just begun. My hope is that I will one day  serve alongside him for eternity, worshiping, and serving at the Masters will.

I am blessed fortunate for having known this great man! And so I will pay him the highest compliment. I know how.

Loren James Delaney = A prince of a man!

He will be sorely missed by me and my family and never forgotten. I will meet him again in glory!
