Sympathy to Loren's family and friends -- Doubtless he loomed large in your lives. I remember him from my first 5 years in UVic's Dept of PSYC. Always heart on sleeve, sometimes irascible, other times a rascal. Definitely a person who felt things strongly and who cared a lot and strove to make a positive difference in the world.
