Loise's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loise Jean, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Loise was born on September 11, 1963, and passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Loise was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she shared her love for God with everyone she met. Her pleasant and kind nature touched the lives of many, making her a beacon of light in her communities in Haiti  as well as in the Palm Beaches.

Loise's joyous spirit was especially evident when she was with her nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Her fun-loving personality brought laughter and happiness to countless family gatherings and celebrations.

Loise is survived by her six cherished children: daughters Shela Derinord, Ruth Salomon, Louise Rose Gaelle Derinord, Bertina Salomon, Ismela Salomon, and her son Olritch Salomon and brother, sisters and nieces and nephews. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, kindness, and faith.

Loise's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We find comfort in knowing that she is now in the arms of the Lord, where she will be watching over us.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Loise's life, with details to follow.

Rest in peace, Loise. You are forever in our hearts.

Eulogy

Loise Jean, born on September 11, 1963, and departed from us on June 19, 2024, after a valiant struggle with heart disease.

Originally hailing from Liancourt, Haiti, Loise embraced a life dedicated to her faith and community, traits she carried from her days as a diligent gardener. Her unwavering spirit and readiness to assist others without expecting anything in return touched the lives of countless individuals.

Active in her church throughout her life, Loise Jean leaves behind a legacy of compassion and service that will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she nurtured and inspired.

Loise's life was a testament to her boundless generosity and her readiness to help anyone in need, without expecting anything in return. Her warm heart and open arms made her a mother not only to her biological children but also to many others who were fortunate enough to be embraced by her nurturing spirit.

Her devotion to her faith and community was evident in her active participation in church, where she was a cherished member. Her strength and perseverance, traits she carried from her youthful days in Haiti, inspired everyone around her.

Loise was preceded in death by her parents, Dantes Jean and Anoisine Dort, and her siblings Mercina Dorval, Silfida Jean, and Octar Jean. She is survived by her siblings Danneau Dantes Jean, Anefise Jean, Louisimene Jean, Alberta Jean, and a host of nephews and nieces who will forever cherish her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives.

Loise's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Yet, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, her memory a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
