Lois's obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Lois Bennett, who left us on May 22, 2024. Lois was born on January 10, 1943, to the late John and Lois Burns.

A woman with a loving heart, Lois had a contagious zest for life that left a lasting impression on everyone she knew. She was often fondly described as a "mom to many", nurturing and caring not just for her own children, but extending her warmth and love to everyone around her.

In the course of her beautiful life, Lois was predeceased by her brothers: Jack, Daniel, and Tim Burns, and her sister, Carol Hoover. She is survived by her loving children: Machelle Trank, Rachelle Lucas, Larry Bennett, Barbara Bennett, Anita Bush, Ron Bennett, and Valerie Paschal. And many grandchildren,  nieces and nephews.

Lois was a woman of varied tastes. She had a deep admiration for Gospel music, a genre that resonated deeply with her and often served as a soothing backdrop to her daily life. A keen observer with an investigative mind, Lois loved watching Crime shows on television. Aggravation was her favorite game, which perfectly demonstrated her competitive spirit and zest for life.

Her love for adventure was unparalleled, evident in her memorable Harley days. Lois's spirit of adventure, her ever-present love for her children, grandchildren, and her undeniable zest for life will be deeply missed. Her life was a testament to her strength and love, and her memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
