Lois was my mother, married to Joseph after he was discharged from WWII with a purple heart from injuries. He had met my mom in Fort Benning Ga. during his Army training before shipping out. They ended up getting engaged and he went off to war. They corresponded for 4 years and when he returned they were quickly married! My mom was a very tender person and cared very much about people, their feelings. She was raised in Columbus Ga. with her widowed mother and her only older sister, Eunice. She was a very busy mom as her and my dad opened up an Italian restaurant and were very successful. She always stood by my dad, his decisions that would benefit all of us. They had 3 children of which I am the only surviving one. I miss her very much and my belief is that I will see her in heaven some day soon. I am very thankful that both my parents were Christians. Lovingly, Lucia Timmerman
