Lizzie Chaverst passed away peacefully in her home on June 1, 2021 at the graceful age of 94. Born October 20, 1926 in Browns, Alabama, Lizzie is survived by her sisters Willie Lee Avery, Minnie Pearl McClenney, Margaret Edwards, Emma McDougal, her youngest daughter Nadine Harris, as well as a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is the wife of the late Chester Chaverst. She is also predeceased by her children William Jones, Mary Lee “Bunch” Wilson , Renee Pernell, Chester “Champ” Chaverst, Booker T Chaverst, Coleman Chaverst and Sam Chaverst.

Lizzie enjoyed her crochet, her Bible and praising the Lord.

Her celebration of life will be held on June 10, 2021 at New Creation Community Church. Visitation is from 9:30am to 10:30am, and funeral service begins at 10:30am. A 1pm committal service will be at Palms Northwest Cemetery, and the repast will be at Aliante Resort and Casino at 2:30pm.
