Lisa's obituary

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, this world got a little dimmer with the passing of Lisa Srigley. She passed peacefully with family at her bedside after a hard fought battle.

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Fredrick and Roseadel Welbaum, her parents Larry and Sheila Lutz, and her sister Hallie Lutz-Fitzgerald. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Wesley and Ashley Balogh. Her daughter Sherri Srigley. Her grandchildren Emma, Caleb, Lucas, Tristan, Kayce, and Krislynn. Her brother and sister in law Fred and Candace Lutz. Numerous cousins, other family, and very close friends.

Lisa was laid to rest in her home town of Troy, Ohio, on November 20th, during a small private service with close family and friends in accordance with her final wishes.

Lisa led a full life and left her mark everywhere she went. She graduated from Troy High School in 1980 and went on to attend college at Wright State University. She then relocated to Houston, Texas in 1981, where started her family and raised her children. After 25 years and the loss of her mother she made a bold move to relocate to El Paso, Texas.

As her chapter of life ended in Houston, she opened up a new chapter full of adventures and memories in the desert’s dry climate, which she preferred over the humidity in Houston. The El Paso chapter was full of first like taking cross country trips on the back of a motorcycle or shooting guns. Lisa expanded her group of life long friends made in Houston through her generous nature and loyal friendship. Even though El Paso is where her story ended, it was arguably her best chapter of all. Her life began only a short four hour drive west in Sierra Vista, Arizona. This is where her son spent many years which she took every opportunity to visit. One of her grandsons was born there.

Lisa was a force to be reckoned with. There was no stopping her when she made her mind up. She lived her life her way. Full of unconditional love, compassion, and generosity. She will always be remembered. Her legacy cemented forever in those who she imparted her wisdom, love, and strength into.

The world is a little less complete without her presence in it. She will always be loved by the ones who knew her and deeply missed until we meet her again.

Saying Lisa was a lover of dogs is a severe understatement 🐾💛. Her love for the fur babies continues even in death. We kindly ask those who feel compelled to honor her memory make a donation in Lisa’s name to her favorite charity, Big Guy Little's World Sanctuary. The link to donate is below.
