In Loving Memory of Lisa Renee Ridgeway

On November 28, 2023, our hearts were heavy as we bid farewell to our beloved Lisa Renee Ridgeway, who gracefully earned her wings and embarked on her journey beyond. Lisa was called home, leaving an indelible void in the lives of those who knew and cherished her. She was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, and a source of inspiration for many.

Born to Dana Ridgeway and Catherine Taylor, Lisa's legacy is beautifully interwoven with the love and warmth she shared with her family. She leaves behind a her devoted father, Dana, and a beautiful mother, Catherine. Lisa's memory will be carried forward by her two sons, Joseph Green and Lyndin Daniel, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Lisa was a cherished sister to Diana Ridgeway, Sabrena Iverson, Beverly Harris, Chris Young, Dionte Taylor, and Donnell Taylor. 

Lisa, also leave behind her loving Godmother Barbara Mack and GOD Sisters, Valerie Philson, Lucretia Lyle and Crystal Frye. Her bond with her siblings was unbreakable, and she leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.

A dedicated professional in the field of education, Lisa's impact extended beyond the classroom. Her years of service in Charleston, South Carolina, showcased her commitment to nurturing young minds and setting an example of resilience and determination. Even in the face of adversity, Lisa stood as a testament to what one could achieve with unwavering effort.

Lisa faced the formidable challenge of breast cancer, demonstrating incredible strength and courage throughout her battle. After a period of remission, the illness returned in early 2023. Despite the valiant fight she put up, Lisa transitioned on November 28, 2023, at Washington Hospital Center. She peacefully transitioned, surrounded by the love and presence of family and friends.

As we remember Lisa, our hearts are filled with cherished memories and the joy she brought into our lives. Her legacy of hard work, dedication, and kindness within the educational sector will forever be etched in our hearts.
