Lisa's obituary
Lisa Anne O’Bryan, lovingly known to many as "Momma Lisa" or "Aunt Lisa," passed away peacefully at her home in Crestview, Florida, on November 29, 2024. She was the cherished daughter of the late Jackson ( Frank) and Laquita O’Bryan.
Lisa is survived by her devoted wife, Patricia Nikolai of Crestview, and her three children: Michelle Lewis (Joseph Howard) of Tennessee, Christopher Buentello (Jackie Buentello) of Virginia, and Isaiah Chadwell (Stephanie Chadwell) of Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her adopted mother, Jan Smith, her sister Jamie O’Bryan, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and countless friends and loved ones she considered family.
Lisa was a vibrant and compassionate soul who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her humor, wisdom, and authenticity. Her advocacy for LGBTQ rights and her work supporting those affected by HIV/AIDS during a time of widespread fear demonstrated her unwavering courage and empathy. She was also a fierce champion for individuals battling addiction and for anyone unable to fight for themselves.
In her younger years, Lisa expressed her love of music as a DJ, a passion that stayed with her throughout her life. She embraced life fully, finding gratitude even in its darkest moments, which she believed shaped her into the person she became. Her deep faith and special relationship with God were central to her life’s journey.
A memorial service to honor Lisa’s remarkable life will be held at Trahan Funeral Home December 17th at 12:00 p.m. All who wish to celebrate her memory are welcome to attend.
