Lisa's obituary
Lisa "DeeDee" Melchor, revered as a pillar of strength, bravery, and unyielding positivity, passed away on August 29, 2024. Born on December 7, 1977, Lisa was known for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world.
Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Juan Melchor and his daughter Emmalyn, Mercedez Lutz her husband Austin Lutz and their three kids Axl, Ayla and Atreyu, Abriella Vickous, and Gabriel Vickous, her brother Christopher Rivenback and her sister Pamela Simmons, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She is joined in rest by her mother, Helen, her father, Walter, and her grandmother Beatrice, along with many other loved ones throughout her life. With a hefty family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Lisa's reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Among Lisa's most significant accomplishments was raising her four children, whom she held as her pride and joy. She served as a paralegal for a considerable part of her life before disability. Yet, even amidst the challenges life brought her way, Lisa never wavered in her compassion for others. She continued to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Even with little to spare, Lisa continued to give and help others. Even when sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. Her life served as a testament to her philosophy, "You can be a survivor or you can be a victim. “ and “The world moves on, even when we’re not ready."
A Celebration of Life for Lisa will take place on September 7, 2024, at 4:00PM at Sunset Park. Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate her life are welcomed. Lisa's loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
