Lisa's obituary

Lisa J. Buchanan (nee DeBoer), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away in the early hours of February 08, 2024, at the age of 60. Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Predeceased by her beloved mother, Mary Ann DeBoer, Lisa now rests in peace alongside her, united in eternity. Survived by her devoted husband, David Buchanan, her loving children, Danielle Driesbach (nee Buchanan) and Patrick Buchanan, and her adored grandchildren Joshua, Ava, and Jude Jr., Lisa’s presence in their lives brought joy and unwavering support. She was the cornerstone of her family, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Born to Charles DeBoer, Lisa was a cherished daughter and sister. She leaves behind her father and her older sisters, Cheryl Peck (nee DeBoer) and Sharon Rochford (nee DeBoer), along with their families, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with Lisa.

Lisa was a woman of immense compassion and strength, known for her strong and caring nature and her ability to instill confidence and independence in those around her. Her children, both of whom joined the Army, carry with them the values and lessons she imparted, a testament to her unwavering support and belief in their capabilities. 

Lisa held close friendships throughout the years with whom she shared countless laughs and cherished moments. Her lively spirit and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of memorial services, donations can be made to a charity of choice.

Lisa will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her enduring legacy of love and compassion will forever inspire those touched by her life. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was and will always be deeply loved and cherished by all those who knew her.
