Lisa's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lisa Compton, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who entered into rest on July 10, 2025. Born on October 5, 1965, Lisa lived a life filled with kindness, humility, and love, touching the hearts of many.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Joyce Compton, her sister, Robin Leicht, her brother-in-law, Joseph Leicht, and nephew, Casey Compton. She also leaves behind her cherished dog, Bella. Lisa was predeceased by her sister, Cynthia Compton and her father, Harry Compton. Her family and friends will miss her deeply, but find comfort in the beautiful memories they shared together.
Throughout her life, Lisa was a selfless volunteer, dedicating her time at Wheels on Meals and Dupage Senior Citizens Council, bringing joy and companionship to those she served. Her caring heart and giving nature truly made a difference in the lives of many.
Her love for life could be seen in her diverse tastes through her favorite foods, drinks, and music. Lisa enjoyed foods such as pizza, liver & onions, and traditional Puerto Rican dishes. On rare occasions she enjoyed sipping an Amaretto stone sour or a glass of Prosecco. Lisa also appreciated a wide array of music, from Black Sabbath and Creed to the timeless symphonies of classical music. She was an avid supporter of the Chicago Bulls, demonstrating her loyalty and vibrant spirit.
Lisa has been described by many as giving, humble, generous, and loving. One of Lisa's greatest lessons was her unwavering strength and ability to overcome life's difficult obstacles. Her lesson, her legacy, will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to PanCAN or a local animal shelter in Lisa's memory, reflecting her enduring spirit of generosity and love for animals.
We will forever miss Lisa's compassionate spirit, but celebrate the impact she made in each and every life she touched.
