Lisa's obituary
Lisa ReNae (Brintley) Jones, age 46 from Holt, Michigan; left this world on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at McLaren Hospital.
Lisa was born on July 13, 1975, in Providence Hospital, Southfield, Michigan to Karen Lynne Brintley and Lloyd Wright. She grew up on the north end of Detroit. As a child, she was a member of Famous Hill Missionary Baptist Church along with her entire family.
As a teenager, she attended Cass Technical High School where she excelled and graduated in 1993 with honors. She went on to attend ITT Technical Institute and earned a diploma in Computer Engineering. After graduating, Lisa worked as a Copier Repair Specialist.
In 1997 Lisa married Orlandus Frank Calhoun Sr. To this union, her handsome sons, Orlandus Frank Jr. (1995) and Zachery Armon (1998) were born. She took a position as an ITT Tech with the State of Michigan. Lisa always felt a need to help others, so she then took a position as a Social Worker, although the job was demanding, she felt fulfilled working with her clients.
In 2000 her union with Orlandus Calhoun Sr. had ended and she wanted to make a fresh start for herself she moved with her sons to Lansing, Michigan. She settled into her life in Lansing and continued her work with the State of Michigan. Many of her co-workers and supervisors gave her great praise for the exceptional job she did. She tackled her client workload with dedication, compassion and empathy.
In 2002 she met Donnell Boone and in 2003 her beautiful baby girl, Te’Ana Rainell Boone was born. Wanting to add some adventure to her life, she moved to Texas. Lisa and her family left for Round Rock, Texas in 2006 where she also took a job with the State of Texas as a Social Worker. Again, she excelled at her job and was given much praise. Lisa loved living in Texas and often commented that it was a beautiful place to be, but she missed her extended family and so moved back home to Lansing, Michigan.
In 2010, she married Tywain Jones; that union ended in 2021. She later developed a desire for an entrepreneurial career and so started several different business ventures.
