I’m very saddened to discover the news of Lisa's passing. We connected online via our love of Irish band, The Devlins. Their last album came out in 2005 and on Friday they released a new one. I sent Lisa an email after years of no contact, only for it to bounce back. I searched for her online and found this notice. I had no idea of her illness. She was a beautiful soul and I hope she’s now at peace. I sincerely hope you don’t mind me sharing my story. God bless.
So sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. Lisa was the daughter of my first cousin Jane and granddaughter of my mother's sister Marilyn Priest Marker. I so enjoyed the many communications in past years wherein we shared family histories, old photos and memorabilia. She provided me so much joy with her awesome genealogy skills and generosity. Lisa had genius investigative skills and immense curiosity. I expect now she is learning and exploring the secrets of this magnificent universe. Condolences, love to her family, sisters Marcia and Susan.
I knew you both since college days but it has been a while since I have seen you both. I had no idea Lisa was ill. My heart goes out to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss.
Mark, I am absolutely heartbroken. Karen (Hrametz) McLellan shared the news with me a few minutes ago and I'm still in shock. I loved working with Lisa during her years at the LPI. I think we ate lunch at Mr. Gatti's almost every day! (Not only did they have an amazing lunch special, but as an added bonus, we could watch All My Children.) And then after she left, there were several occasions when she babysat Daniel for me since he and Jordan were close to the same age and I needed backup childcare for various reasons. She was an amazing person, and I'm just so incredibly sad. Prayers for you and the kids.
