It all began over 40 years ago when a few little girls dressed in plaid with knee highs smiled at each other and would be forever friends.
From dolls, ice skates, bowling balls, dancing shoes, costumes, pool parties, sleep overs, class trips, make up, dances, road trips, proms, graduations, marriages, babies, new homes, new jobs , play dates with our children, ....we have been through it all.
There have been the good times and the bad, the laughter and the tears but the one thing that would remain was friendships that would stand the test of time.
Lisa ,Mary, Robyn and Dorothy might not have been able to see each other as often as we would like or speak all the time but our hearts were always connected and memories always treasured. You don't walk through 40 plus years without storms but we always knew when and how to bring the sunshine. Even just a phone call or text was able to move mountains. When you share that much time , that bond just knows how to bring comfort and cheer.
Lisa, words can not express how much you will be missed. Although our time was cut way to short your impact on the world and everyone who knew you will live on forever.
Lisa, your name means “God is my oath” or “God’s promise,” and you lived every bit of that meaning. Your unwavering strength and commitment to living life to the fullest revealed your true character. When someone is tested, some say it brings exposure—sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. But Lisa, your light never diminished. It never dulled, and it will never go out.
Your smile and spirit were contagious, and they will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew you. I am blessed and deeply fortunate to say I was one of the many who caught that light—one of the many whose life was touched and changed by your presence. Your love, your joy, and your strength will continue to shine through us, always.
