Linus's obituary
We sorrowfully announce the passing of Mr. Linus Rapien, who left us on August 14, 2024. Born on July 10, 1957, Linus lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness. His personality – honest, dependable, and funny with a heart of gold - made him a magnet, drawing people towards him. Linus leaves behind a legacy of love, missed immensely by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Linus is survived by his two sisters, two Godchildren, Cristine and Chris Jessen Jr., and best friend/brother Chris Jessen Sr and wife Anita Jessen.
He was predeceased by his Father, Mother and his wonderful Step-Father, whose love and values he upheld throughout his life.
In his memory, we celebrate Linus's passions and preferences. He was a lover of all rock and roll bands with an appreciation for country artists as well. His favorite TV show was Big Brother which he watched with his sister each night, spending time on the phone with her discussing the show. An avid film enthusiast, he particularly loved Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, How to Train Your Dragon, and Gran Torino. The Sacramento Kings and the San Francisco 49er's brought him joy as he cheered them on. In his downtime, Linus enjoyed playing Grand Theft Auto on play station and card games. He held an annual tradition of watching the Nutcracker performance, a testament to his appreciation for the arts.
Linus had an endearing love for coffee, iced tea, and Pepsi. He spent many happy hours watching YouTube and visiting friends. Idaho held a special place in his heart as his favorite vacation spot, and his favorite color to match his bright personality was orange. Always one to help others, Linus passionately contributed to Atkinson Family Services for foster children and Animal Rescue.
Linus was a goldmine of wisdom, often advising to 'Be Respectful, Set goals and see them through, and Live your best life.' His words, his actions, and his legacy will forever remain etched in our hearts.
As we bid farewell to Linus Rapien, we honor his memory by celebrating his life and the love he so generously shared with each one of us.
