Linda's obituary
Linda believed on the Lord, in all things and had a passion for bringing others to Christ.
She worked for many years for Bell Atlantic in Mass in her teens and twenty's. Later on went to seminary and obtained her degree in Evangelism, and even served as a Nun before deciding to become married and have a family.
She knew her future husband Lennie since they were children playing together in the simple yet then bustling town of Danforth where he was from and she lived there as well. Later on in life, they reunited and made a lasting connection founded on a shared love of God and the Bible. They Married back in Danforth where they first met, on Feb. 19th 1980. They had 35 years of marriage together, before he passed away in 2015 with her by his side. She was his caregiver, and their faith was never shaken. She made sure he was well taken care of in his final days.
Linda dedicated her life to God, and then to being a homemaker, homeschooling her daughter Christa up until High school. Her love of Christ was apparent in all she did, and her kindness, love and generosity touched many others along her life's journey. She will be forever missed, and loved deeply.
She was always there for her daughter no matter what, loving, caring, supportive and the matriarch of the family. Even if she felt poorly she always put her family before herself.
Linda was pre deceased by her loving Husband Leonard Merle Shaw, her beloved mother Marion Francis Tucker, and Her brother Terry Lee of Danforth.
She leaves behind her dedicated one and only child, Christa Boody (Noel bell), Son in Law Adam Boody (her Addy), and four beautiful grandchildren, who she also adored, Eliza (julie) , Syxx (marree), Willow (brooker) and Darrell (my handsome boy). Many brothers and sisters, Cheryl Mansu, Julie Illes, Steven & Terry Tucker, Thomas and Kathy Tucker, Mark St. Peter, Landy St. Peter, Glenn St. Peter, Caron St. Peter Beeckel, Diana St. Peter, Step mother Ruth Bickford and Papa Ray Bickford, Brother and Sister in law Richard and Sandy Shaw, and many precious nieces and nephews and cousins.
There will be a celebration of life for Linda at Mosman Park in Searsport Maine at a future date in July to be announced later. Her favorite spot to see the ocean.
Mom, my heart is with you as I know yours is with mine, " I am a flower quickly fading Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still you hear me when I'm calling
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling
And you've told me who I am
I am yours"
Psalm 23 King James Version:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
