Linda's obituary

In Loving Memory of Linda Joyce O’Kane

February 13, 1948 – September 18, 2025

Linda Joyce O’Kane, 77, of Ashburnham, passed away on September 18, 2025.

She is survived by her children, Steven Fenner [Kym Clark] and Tara Fenner; grandchildren Daniel Fenner [Ashley], Kierra, Zachary, and Logan Romero, Kaylyn Fenner, and Emma Feckley; and her great-grandchildren Chace, Blaine, and Ember Fenner, and Sadira Ramos Romero. Linda also leaves behind many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O’Kane, and siblings Dennis Wehmeyer and Sherry Breau.

Linda’s life was filled with creativity, kindness, and community. She had a true gift for crafting—especially making wreaths and ornaments—and shared her talents generously with those she loved. Her home was always warmed by her devotion to her family, her many projects, and the company of her beloved cats.

A lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, Linda devoted more than 50 years to the organization and proudly received her 50-year pin last year. As a troop leader and “cookie mom,” she helped guide and encourage countless girls, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship and friendship. She was also an active member of the Westminster Friendship Club and cherished the time she spent participating in activities and gatherings at the Ashburnham Senior Center.

Linda will be remembered for her warm heart, her generous spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Her family and friends will deeply miss her laughter, her creativity, and her love.

Services will be held at a later date, and her family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating her life.
