Linda Yvonne McCoy, 74, of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by family.

Linda was born on June 29, 1951, in Wilmington, Delaware, the daughter of the late Clyde Fletcher and Ruby (Ball) Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. McCoy, in 2017.

She was the loving mother of Shayna E. McCoy and Samantha M. McCoy, cherished sister to Richard C. Fletcher (Laura) and aunt to Aaron Fletcher (Irissa) and Derrick Fletcher (Sammy).

Linda will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her generosity to all who knew her, and her deep love for animals. She was actively involved in her community, volunteering her time and offering her support wherever it was needed. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and created lasting memories with those she loved most.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Linda’s honor on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4:30–8:00 PM at Gullybrook Park Pavilion in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a woman who brought warmth and laughter to so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Linda McCoy Memorial Fund, with proceeds to benefit the Willoughby Senior Center and the Lake County Humane Society. 

Attendees are encouraged to wear purple or colorful attire to reflect Linda’s vibrant spirit. Light snacks will be provided.
