Linda's obituary

Linda Porter Mann

Linda Porter Mann, 78, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in Belzoni, MS.

Born on March 18, 1947, to Henry “Pop” Porter and Aileen Mankolf in Straight Bayou, Linda lived a life defined by love, strength, and devotion to her family. She was a constant source of guidance, comfort, and encouragement, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her home was a place of warmth, care, and unconditional love.

Linda had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys, including spending time with family and friends, going to yard sales, and finding great deals at thrift stores. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roy Mann of Benton; her son, Troy Mann of Pearl; her grandson, Brad Mann of Tampa, Florida; her brother, Eulon “Bubba” Porter of Louise; her niece, DeDe Porter Hatcher of Rolling Fork; her nephew, Jeffrey Porter of Straight Bayou; her nephew, Brooks Porter of Belzoni; and her grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dixie, and her son, Terry.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held Friday, January 16th, 2026, at 11 am to 12 pm at Mortimer Funeral Home in Belzoni, MS.

Her warmth, laughter, and faith will always be remembered. Though she will be greatly missed, her family takes comfort knowing she is at peace and that her love will always remain with them.
