It’s still hard to believe this is true. Linda was an absolute force— an adventurous spirit who packed a lot of life into her years. Endlessly funny, too smart for her own good, beautiful, clever, and always had an opinion. She was one of my first friends I made when I moved to northern Virginia many years ago and there’s no surprise why. Linda was just easy to connect with. A great conversationalist with a curiosity for everything around her. She never met a stranger and would make new connections anywhere she went. She always was thinking about the deeper meaning behind something and would delight in telling you about her latest hypothesis about why something happened. It wasn’t unusual for her to tell you about a friend she first made at the grocery store or someone she was going to meet up with for coffee in another country after exchanging numbers at a bookstore. She loved her friends hard and cared for the people she let in her life. She had the wildest stories and was the best listening ear when you needed it. I think she loved dogs more than humans— the amount of photos I have with Linda and dogs is hilarious — my dog, a friend’s dog, a dog she met on the street. She never crossed paths with a small pup she wouldn’t pet. I will cherish all of the good times we shared together and the many happy memories. So many laughs and more charcuterie boards than I ever deserved. I know she will be missed by many. Rest in peace, Miss Linda! 💙💙💙
