Linda's obituary

Linda Mae Krystek, 70, of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully on October 05, 2022 at Saint Vincent's Hospital after a long battle with various digestive disorders.

Linda, born on June 28th, 1952 was adopted by Martha and Paul Snyder in Erie, PA, immediately brought joy and light into the world. Linda went on to graduate from Academy High School in 1970 and completed 3 years of elementary education at Edinboro University.  Linda and James Krystek were married for over 43 years and had one child, Renee Krystek while also becoming a step-mother to Caroline and Matthew Krystek, from James' previous marriage. Linda was a fiercely dedicated mother, wife, friend, neighbor, and coworker. She loved volunteering at her daughter's schools, gardening, baking, and when younger, horseback riding. She was bright and bubbly with everyone she met no matter the pain she felt in the last few years. She has stayed close to her friends from high school and college and lit up anytime she was able to reconnect with them.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Paul & Martha Snyder, her brother, Phil Snyder, and step-son Matthew Krystek. She is survived by her husband, James Krystek, her daughter, Renee Krystek, her brother Donald Snyder, her sister-in-law Carolyn Snyder, and step-daughter Caroline Krystek along with many other supportive brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to assist the family with funerary expenses. A Celebration of Life will be planned for June 2023. If you are interested please reach out through this platform or directly to her daughter.
