Personal note from Kalyssa Martinez

Linda Anne Koerber passed away unexpectedly on January 20th 2022 at the age of 71.
She was an admired Mother, Step-Mother, astonishing Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
She was carried into life by Morris Floyd Patterson and Annabelle Claire Patterson August 3rd
1950. She was the eldest sibling of Janice Lynn and Robert Lee. She is preceded in death by
her daughter Crystie Anne Patterson, her step daughter Sherri Lee Bohannon and her parents.
She is survived by her children Nick, Bobby, Kimmie and Shane as well as her three step
daughters, Gerri Anne, Tammy and Jolene.
Linda graduated from West Covina Highschool in 1967. She continued her education in
cosmetology school and began her career doing hair and nails from home in between wrangling
her four children. She briefly worked for Southern California Edison and for an attorney in Las
Vegas.
She lived an adventurous life, to say the least. If you knew her, you know what that
means. Although she may have made many mistakes with her time on earth, there were so
many positive things that impacted so many lives around her.
I would like to share a few things about her life that some of you may not know. She had
a heart for children and helped those in need even when she couldn’t help herself. She took in a
few kids that needed a safe place to land temporarily on a few occasions. She never held a
grudge towards anyone for anything. When she became a grandmother she loved to have her
grandchildren over for week long visits or pick them up for road trips to various casinos. Oh how
she loved the casinos.

To all the children in her life, many not her own biologically, she provided so much love
and care. She was the definition of a never ending gift, constantly giving to those even when
she had nothing left to give. She continued this trait through to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Countless trips and vacations traveling above and beyond, filled with the most
memorable moments for any grandchild but the one thing we all share in common are her
famous cut out cookies and baking that every grandchild will carry with them. She was lucky
enough to pass on to her great grandchildren the same amount of never ending love. Being a
great mother but the most extraordinary grandmother.
