My earliest memory of Linda is when we were in the 6th grade. There was an essay contest that I had entered. There was a small group of us from each of the 6th grade classes that were given the opportunity to work in the classroom during lunch time and continue writing our essays. There was a group of about 4 or 5 of us. The girls sat together and I sat over at the side of the classroom. We were all using encyclopedia’s to help us get ideas to write. As I began writing, Linda came over to me and asked if I wanted to come over and sit where they were. To this day, I don’t remember if I joined the group or not. What I do remember all these 60+ years later is how nice Linda was, kind, caring, and how willing she was to accept me as I was.
Years came and went—
I didn’t attend any of our high school reunions until the 50th. That’s when I reconnected with Linda and learned that she was a dancer. My wife and I had been line dancing for several years but I never learned the Tush- Push so Linda decided to teach me. Try as we did, I could never get my Tush-to-Push right so we left it at that. However, we danced together many other times and became good friends.
We miss Linda, a dear friend, kind, caring, and a beautiful person in every way.

Remembering you, Linda, on today! As you joined family and friends, and especially our mom, Peggy Arterberry Evans, on Jan 28th in heaven, once again, a part of the fabric of who we are left us. Due to this horrible weather, we’re unable to join the many voices that will celebrate you on this day, but please know, you will always be in our hearts. We love you Linda Townsel Hoskinson, we appreciate everything you’ve been to our Mom and to us, and your legacy will live on in each of us. Joe Townsel, we love you and we’re praying for you! We so wished we could have joined you to celebrate your Mom. We’re sorry we couldn’t, and we hope to get a chance to see you in the near future and share great stories! Until then, may the peace and comfort of our great God blanket you and family as you honor your mom on this day and live out your life worthy of the teachings she instilled! Love you, Peggy’s Girls, Kat Evans, Kim Evans, Erica Wright, and Regina Evans. 🙏🏽❤️

My condolences to Linda's family. We met in High School & were more casual friends then. We really became close friends when we began having mini class reunions. I regret that we didn't spend more time together when she & Mike moved to Kingman. She was such a nice person, good friend, and I will miss her!

I don't have much to contribute, except that I knew her since 1960, I am a classmate of her sister and brother inlaw,Mary( Shorty)&Kenny Boyd, and her frist husband Joe was my adopted little brother, he was a junior when I was a senior, I was 5'2"and 127lbs he was over a ft. taller and weighed 296lbs! Linda and I reconnected on Facebook after many years, and picked up where we left off, we texted almost every day, I loved her sarcastic wit and opinionated thoughts! She was one of a kind and I loved her as a friend with all my ❤️ and will miss her the rest of my life+++

So very sorry for your loss. She was a great lady. I knew her when she lived in Charlotte and we danced at the palomino club.

Linda was my wife Jacque's aunt. I am David. My family calls her Aunt Linda. From the second I met Linda many years ago, she treated me like family. She was so nice to me; she made me feel special. I especially like how she would interact with me on Facebook. My late wife Jacque loved Linda a lot and would always talk about her Aunt Linda. I loved Linda too. She was one of a kind, and I'm privileged to have known her. My condolences to the family. May God hold her close.

My Aunt Linda was a kind, caring, loving and strong lady! I always felt a strong kinship with her because we were close in age! I am so grateful I got to visit her a few years back and she was so very hospitable as always! I know God is taking care of her now and she is at peace with loved ones! 🙏🏻. I love and will miss you Aunt Linda!🥰
