Linda's obituary

Linda Mae Gardner, age 72, of Madisonville, Texas passed away September 4th, 2022. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Lee Mays; her siblings Lester Mays; Fern Van Tassel; Donald Mays; Wayne Mays; Shirley Spencer; and her husband John Gardner. She is survived by her siblings Francis Cox; Sharon Davidson; daughter Pamela Whited; and her stepchildren Marlin Gardner; Jeffrey Gardner; and Dana Gardner; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Linda was raised in Kerman, California and went to Kerman high school. She cherished and loved her church dearly, and when she could she attended church functions. Linda may have faced obstacles, but she still made the most of her life. She enjoyed Alf, doing yard work, arts, and crafts, working on her dollhouse, sewing, crocheting, and Elvis Presley. She adored her animals and would sacrifice anything for her friends, family, and neighbors. Linda made everyone who knew her laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories she shared. Our family is grateful to know that Linda is finally at peace. A memorial service will be held at Madisonville Faith Baptist Church on September 17, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, all are welcome to attend, and if not able to attend in person, we will be live streaming the memorial service on (Madisonville Faith Baptist Church) Facebook page.
