Linda's obituary
Linda Fleming-Barlow
November 1, 1949 – April 9, 2025
Linda Fleming-Barlow, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on April 9, 2025. Born on November 1, 1949, to Leslie and Clarice Fleming, Linda spent her life in the place she called home—Fredericksburg—where she grew up and later retired after many dedicated years at Baretta.
Linda was known for her warmth, her feisty spirit, and the unmistakable sparkle she brought into every room. She had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures — junking adventures with Danny Thompson, long days soaking up the sun and picking crabs in Lewisetta, and afternoons on the back porch or around the kitchen table, hanging out laughing with loved ones.
Her Lewisetta family held a special place in her heart—it was her escape, her joy, her community. Her love for flowers and birds could be seen all around her home, and her cooking was second to none. A cold Natty Light shared with family and close friends, and the sound of waves at the beach—those were the moments she lived for.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leslie and Clarice. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Tracee Kincer (David Kruckenberg), her cherished grandson Dyllon Kincer and his fiancée Britt Clendenny, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and close friends. Her grandson Dyllon, the apple of her eye, brought her endless pride and joy.
Her family will honor her life with a private celebration among immediate family and close friends at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Linda's honor to support her dear Lewisetta friend in his courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis - a cause that meant a great deal to her.
Linda’s spirit, stories, and love will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.
