Linda's obituary

Linda Ann (Quintiliani) Dill

Linda Dill died peacefully at home on April 22, 2026, following a recent cancer diagnosis.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Americo Anthony Quintiliani and Florence E. Pompetti Quintiliani. Following the passing of her father, Linda’s family moved to Wilmington, Delaware, where she made her home and built a life centered on family, friendships, and cherished traditions.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Carl “Marty” Dill III; her children, Chad M. Dill and Melissa E. Alexander (Trent); and her grandchildren—Summer, Brody, Evan, and Rylee—who were the light of her life. Time spent with them was her greatest joy and most treasured gift.

Linda is also survived by many dear family members and friends, including her brother, Richard Quintiliani; her niece and nephew, Sonia and Christopher; and many others who loved her deeply. Following the passing of her beloved cousin Ruthann, Linda formed a special bond with Ruthann’s daughter, Kristen Kapoosian, offering her the same unwavering love and support that Ruthann would have given.

Linda was an energetic, vibrant presence, known for her contagious laugh that echoed through every room. She had a gift for bringing people together, whether through her incredible cooking or her love of hosting. She didn’t just make friends—she kept them, nurturing those relationships with care and intention over many years.

Linda and Marty shared many lifelong friendships. They were known as a couple who deeply valued their close circle of friends. They loved having happy hour together and continued that tradition almost until the end.

She cherished the trips she shared with her girlfriends over more than 40 years—traditions that brought her great joy and lasting memories.

For more than 25 years, Linda participated in cancer research through Fox Chase Cancer Center. She remained a strong supporter of efforts to find a cure, shaped in part by her strong family history of cancer and her own experience as a breast cancer survivor.

Linda’s love, laughter, and devotion to those around her will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center or The Helen F. Graham Cancer Center.
