Linda's obituary
Linda Jean (Guay) Cirocco, age 78 of Belton, SC, passed away on February 14th, 2026 after a long illness.
Linda was born on December 14th, 1947 in Michigan to Normand and Rosemary Guay. She was the oldest of 3 siblings.
She graduated from Walled Lake High School in 1965. She held various jobs over the years. Most recently, her and her sewing partner Nancy, sewed square dancing clothes for other square dancers who admired the outfits that she had made for her and her husband. They sold outfits in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and throughout the South.
She enjoyed playing all types of games, especially Five Crowns, Dominoes and was in a bunco club. She also enjoyed square dancing, sewing, watching movies and spending time with her dogs.
Linda and her husband Nick were actively involved in an organization based in Anderson, SC called Freedom Fences. This organization helps rescue dogs that live outside and/or on chains and provides these dogs a place to stay until they are adopted. Back in 2018, Linda and Nick opened the Woof Den on their own property to expand the available space to house these dogs. Since it opened, they have helped save hundreds of dogs, including several litters of puppies that were born at the Woof Den, and cared for until they were able to be separated from their mother. This work gave her a sense of accomplishment and was very rewarding for them both.
Linda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Nick. Her daughter Lisa (Richard) Mausolf, son Marc (Lisa) Elliot, granddaughters Elise and Alexandra Elliot, sister Nancy (Toad) Beckley and nephew Chad (Tammy) Beckley. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George Guay.
A Celebration of Life honoring Linda’s life is planned for May 30th in Milford, Michigan.
