Linda I didn't know you for a long time but the day I met I can feel your soul and instantly knew that you were a magnificent person,  I will always remember your happiness and beautiful smile.  I know God is holding you on his arms.

Linda's message… by Sandra Churchin, read with Rosalie Ricco by her side…at Linda's service

Linda in Portuguese means Beautiful (girl) for those of you who do not know. So let me start with this. Linda is beautiful in thought, word, physical being, and now, her soul.

About 8 years ago, Linda walked up my stairs to walk a 48 lb. dog named Sunny Sunshine who had run away 3 times before and she told me she could walk him. I was skeptical, as she was about twice his weight. But Sunny never ran away again and ironically Sunny and Linda are back in heaven together. Almost 2 months to the day after I lost Sunny, Linda joined him. Linda told me Sunny counseled her through many hard times, they were secretly married, and this is the only explanation I have for what happened, as there is no other explanation, they must have needed to be together.

You see, Linda had a gift for animals and people. The gift was to see everyone’s potential. She was the most successful person I know in how she cared about people and animals. She never considered herself religious, but she was altruistic, an even higher calling, caring for others before herself, helping every living creature down to the ladybug that I wanted out of the house, but she would pick up daintily and let out the door with perfect placement.

Let me tell you a story….by the way, everyone I spoke to had Linda stories, so I am not alone. Linda and I made a decision that we were going to enjoy the lockdown during the pandemic. This may sound odd but we happily made-up adventures and we walked more than 2000 miles from March to end of 2020 as an example of how many miles, and when we walked, Linda talked, I listened. Not surprisingly, I learned about many of you and it was never gossip, when there was a reason to celebrate for you we did, but we often spoke about some of the things that were not so easy for many of you and what wonderful people each of you are and how she could help you, we conspired for your happiness, as this was her goal. We drove to and from Florida with Sunny. She knew every word in every song on Road Trip and Yacht Rock stations… and well that was kind of frightening, but, we talked even more.

If Linda could speak instead of me right now, I think she would want to say this to all of us…. You are all beautiful people, you are Linda’s people, so share your gifts, kindness matters, and whatever you want to do, you can, because she did. You see Linda had a gift, she could see what was special about each of us, she could share her light and she allowed all of you to help make the world a better place. So, when you miss her as I will remember that you have a gift. You can change the world one person or animal at a time just like Beautiful Linda and please do. Thank you.

We didn’t know Linda well, but her smile and positive energy was palpable every time we were in a room together. She left this world a better place and she will be missed.

She was my stepmom for most of my life.  She made a very complicated situation happier.  My favorite memory is riding bikes together on the boardwalk.  It took a lot for her to convince me to get on a bike, but I'm glad she did.   I had always hoped we could be besties when we were both old.  Things don't always work out how we hope.  May her memory be a blessing.
Our condolences to Linda's family. From Kim and Kelly at Kaos Hair Studio.

Linda was a highschool classmate & friend of mine at QP. I remember her as such a sweetheart of a person who always had a wonderful, infectious smile , positive personality & a great taste in music.  I’m beyond saddened to hear of her passing. Though she should still be here, I know she’s up there smiling down on everyone. This isn’t goodbye. Linda is  just ahead of us in line. My deepest condolences to her family & friends. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Everyone who knew Linda,  loved her instantly. She was a kind and beautiful person who touched so very many lives. She will be missed dearly. Sending good thoughts to her family and close friends.
Amy, Rich and Julia Engel are heartbroken to learn that Linda has passed away. Linda was a vibrant, creative, kind and caring person with a heart full of love. Our deepest sympathies to Linda's family and close circle of friends.
