Linda's obituary
Linda Sue Bilyeu (Kaywood), born on June 25, 1963, on Long Island, New York, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. She was 61 years old.
In the late 80s, she moved from New York to Florida, where she raised her children and made her home in the Waterford and Avalon neighborhoods.
Known affectionately as “Sunshine,” Linda brought warmth and joy to those around her. Her vibrant spirit and infectious energy left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Before experiencing a stroke seven years ago, Linda was a lively presence—always ready with a quick wit, a story to connect people, or a welcoming smile.Linda had a deep love for country music, especially the songs of Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. After a bucket list trip to Nashville, she discovered a passion in interviewing up-and-coming country artists. Writing was one of her greatest passions; through her many online articles, she shared her voice with readers far and wide. Her work can be found at https://hubpages.com/@sunshin….
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Ligler (2015), and her former husband, Randy Bilyeu (2016), both of whom held important places in her life.
Among Linda’s most treasured roles was being a mother and grandmother. She lovingly referred to her daughters and granddaughters as her “chickies” and found joy in the lives of her five grandchildren from ages 18 to 1: Faith, Lily, James, Claire, and Hailey. She is remembered with love by her daughters Carissa Nieves and husband Jon, and Michelle Stoker and husband David.
A private celebration of life will be held with family to honor Linda’s memory in the way she would have wanted—surrounded by love, laughter, music, chicken wings, and Diet Coke.
May Linda’s memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to shine as brightly as the sunshine she so effortlessly embodied.
