Linda devoted many years to nursing, caring for patients with professionalism and dedication. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crafting, sewing and spending time at home playing cards with her family and friends. She also had a beloved dog, Trip, who now lives with her daughter Lisa.

She is survived by her former husband, Thomas Barilla; her three children, Todd Barilla, Lisa Barilla, and Jim Barilla and his wife Miranda Barilla; her four grandchildren, Evan, Dylan, Austin, and Brooklyn Barilla; her brother, Scott Powers, his wife Karen Powers, and their son Matt Powers, his wife Brittany and their two children.  She was predeceased by her parents, Lillian (Buckbee) Powers and Edward F. Powers,  her brother, Timothy Powers and her long term partner, Fred D’Aquila.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held in the spring, when her ashes will be spread alongside those of her brother Timothy. She will be remembered for her dedication to her work, her love of cooking, gardening, crafting, and the card games and life she created for her family.
