Linda's obituary

Linda Bailey, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 9, 2024. Born on December 29, 1948, Linda lived a life characterized by her love for family, friends, and a good slice of pizza. She was quiet by nature, yet radiated a giving and caring spirit that touched those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nikki Brancati-Harrington, her son, Jay Brancati, and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Brancati. Her memory will also be cherished by her treasured grandchildren; Isabella and Salvatore Brancati, and Chloe and Oliver Harrington. Linda's brothers, Donald and Bill Bailey, and her sister, Debbi Golia, will keep her memory alive, celebrating her life as a loving and devoted sister.

Those who knew Linda understood that beneath her quiet demeanor lay a spirit of strength and resilience. The lessons she imparted to those closest to her echo her steadfast belief in perseverance ("Don't give up"), hard work, and the importance of love towards all who surround one's life. Linda's life and accomplishments were not measured by material success, but by the lives she touched, particularly those of her two children and four grandchildren.

Linda's passion for life extended to her fondness for simple pleasures like Pizza, Starbucks tea , Foxon Park soda and word games, little joys that brought her immense comfort.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Linda Bailey will take place on October 19, 2024 at the Spot in New Haven. Stop by between the hours of 2-4pm to share memories and stories with those who loved Linda and have a slice of pizza and her favorite Foxon Park soda in her honor.

Linda's spirit will continue to live on through the love she shared with her family, the lessons she bestowed upon her children and grandchildren, and her quiet yet indomitable strength. She will be missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
