We are devastated to announce the loss of Lilly Glass, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Lilly passed away on April 10th, after a brief fight with pneumonia. Just a few months ago, her family was privileged to celebrate her 90th birthday with her in Delray Beach, Florida, her home for the last several years. She is survived by her daughter Elana Sessler, son and daughter-in-law Harry and Laura Glass, grandchildren Lisa and David Grossman and Jesse and Liza Sessler, and her 10-year-old great-granddaughter Alice, who was the light of her life.

Lilly was a holocaust survivor and was active in the Child Survivors/Hidden Children of the Holocaust of Palm Beach County, and was active in educating others about her experiences. She also spent countless hours helping others, including as a volunteer for the Starlight Foundation when she lived in New York. Even until her last months, she volunteered with children at a nearby school and in February, she visited Covenant House Fort Lauderdale, a charity for homeless teens that she donated to regularly because she thought their work was so important.

Lilly was the heart of her family and was beloved by everyone who knew her for her warmth and kindness. The thing that made her happiest was spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed immensely, but will live on in our hearts forever.
