Lillian's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Lillian Burns on May 28, 2024. Born on July 24, 1942, to her late parents William and Elizabeth Adams, she lived a fulfilling and vibrant life sharing love, wisdom, and kindness with all who knew her.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Burns, cherishing shared years of laughter, love, and family. She was also the proud and devoted mother to Tamela Hall, Christine Smart, and the late Jonathan Burns, who, no doubt, inherited her strength and resilience.
She deeply loved her sisters, Janice Fairfield, and Emma Thompson, with whom she shared a bond of mutual admiration, support, and countless beautiful memories.
Her grandchildren—Heather Hall, Jennifer Fendler, James Smart, and Timothy Hall—were the apple of her eye, and she celebrated and cherished every moment spent with them.
Lillian's life was marked by the love for her family, her favorite homemade banana pudding, sweet tea, and her favorite pastimes such as gardening, baking, and nature walks. She loved vacationing in the mountains and always had a soft spot for the color green. Her spirit will undoubtedly continue to live in the memories and hearts of her cherished ones.
A celebration of Lillian's life will be held on May 30, 2024, at 12:30 PM at 966 Maryland Ave. All those who loved and knew her are invited to join in remembering and honoring her life and legacy.
Lillian's life was a testament to a well-lived and purposeful life. She will be sincerely missed by her friends and family, yet they will eternally carry her in their hearts.
