Lettye Eugenia Andrews 63 years old of Long Branch died July 27, 2017, at Monmouth Medical Center surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Long Branch, Lettye was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Carolyn Elizabeth Brandon on December 10, 1953.  Lettye was raised in Brooklyn, NY by her aunt and uncle Julia and Jesse Middlebrooks.  Lettye attended and graduated from Bay Ridge High School.  Lettye moved to Long Branch in 1975, where she raised her family and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years.  Lettye loved spending time with her children and grandchildren playing cards and watching her favorite television show The Golden Girls.  Lettye also enjoyed spending time with her friend Judy Morgan listening to music and having a fun time. She is predeceased by her birth mother Carolyn and her aunt and uncle Julia and Jesse whom she affectionately called mom and dad.  Surviving are 2 daughters and son in laws Gaytosha Brandon (Jimmie Washington) of Atlanta, Georgia Leticia Andrews (Ronald Strong), 1 son Tyshawn Andrews of Long Branch. 7 grandchildren Jimmie and Daniel Brandon of Atlanta, Georgia, Psyear Roque, Chezah Andrews, Sha’Ron, Carolyn and Sade Strong of Long Branch and many beloved cousins.
