Lety and I were Lakeshore Lacrosse moms the last few years and she brought so much energy and FUN to the team and our travels. She was always smiling, happy, positive and excited to cheer on the girls. She didn't just cheer for Zoe, she cheered for everyone. She made me laugh because she never forgot anything - if one of us forgot sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, etc, Lety had it and was happy to share. Forgot snacks? Lety had an entire bag. Phone running out of battery? She had her portable charger. She was like Inspector Gadget with all of her stuff and she was more than happy to share. Lety was also the Energizer Bunny. In 2022, we spent a day in D.C. taking the girls to see the sites. It was miserably hot and I could barely get through a tour of Arlington National Cemetery but Lety was unfazed. She was going to see as much of D.C. as she could that day. She was always up for team dinners, ice cream, bowling, swimming, sharing rental cars, site seeing....everything. She never passed up an opportunity to have fun. Looking back, it seems like she knew she was on borrowed time and wanted to get it all in while she could. I will miss her dearly. She was such a joy and I just loved spending time with her on these trips. Lakeshore will not be the same without her.

Ms. Ramos was such an amazing kindergarten teacher for my daughter. She always made kids feel cared for, heard, and included. 2020-2021 was a challenging year to be a teacher and she just had so much grace, staying focused on students having their best kindergarten experience during remote learning. The memory I really cherish that year, was her hosting my daughter and other students for a picnic in the garden when they were so much lacking that human connection at school. I saw how meaningful that experience was for my daughter, in addition to the afterschool arts programs she led. She will be very sadly missed.

I remember when I was nine years old, and Tia Lety was getting married. It was the first wedding I had ever been to. I didn't really know how weddings worked but I saw my cousin Alex & my cousin Zach partaking in the bridal party pictures, and was feeling sad I was not part of the bridal party. My aunt Lety saw me from a distance, and said "Muneca, come in this picture with us! We love you!". As a 9 year old, it meant the world to me. Looking back now, I see how most would think that's something so silly and little that a kid would get over quickly. But not for Tia Lety... she saw someone she loves feeling sad, and wanted them to feel happy, loved, and included. Even when she was a bride, she was thinking of others and their feelings no matter how big or small. That's how I will always remember my Tia Lety, always thinking of others.
