Leslie's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Nicole Woods-Brown, who departed this life on Resurrection Sunday, April 5, 2026. Born on February 5, 1970, and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Nicole lived a life defined by passion, resilience, and an unbreakable spirit.
Nicole was a woman of remarkable strength and determination. Her feisty nature and strong will carried her through life’s greatest challenges with courage and grace. Beyond her tenacity, she possessed a deep intellectual curiosity and a genuine love of learning. She found joy in literature and the pursuit of knowledge, continually seeking personal growth through her studies at Webster University and various continuing education endeavors. A deeply spiritual woman, Nicole carried her faith with her in all that she did. She also expressed her love through cooking, finding joy in preparing meals for the family. Nicole inspired those around her to value hard work, pursue excellence, and never stop striving for more.
Though she is no longer with us, Nicole’s legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her beloved mother and stepfather, Jacqueline Woods-Hopson and William Hopson; her children, Lauren Harris, Bryan Harris II, Ashley Binnington (Tim Larrigan), Leslie Woods-Caragan, and Arden Woods-Brown; and her cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her husband of nearly 24 years, Curt Woods-Brown, whose life and successes reflect the lasting impact of Nicole’s strength, devotion, and influence. Nicole will be joyously reunited with her dearly beloved grandmother and grandfather, who preceded her in death.
In her final days, Nicole was surrounded by the love, care, and presence of those who held her closest. Her family will forever carry forward the love, wisdom, and strength she so generously shared.
A memorial service celebrating Nicole’s life will be held on April 17, 2026, at Grace United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m., with a repast immediately afterward in Grace Hall.
Nicole was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother—a beacon of resilience, perseverance, faith, and love. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
