Leslie P. Thomas died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in Commerce Township Michigan from a long illness. As a Christian, Les died victoriously in Christ. He was born to Philip and Cecelia Thomas on January 29th, 1942.

Les is predeceased by his parents, his brother Tom Thomas, and his great granddaughter Tabitha Hansen. He is survived by his wife, Karen Thomas, and his brother Guy Thomas, his children; Tricia Young, Jennifer Dalton, Courtney Nagy, L.T Thomas, and Kari Slamans, his grandchildren, Ashley Hansen, Kathryn Guluzian, Stephanie Gibson, Jordan Dalton, Evan Nagy, Owen Nagy, Isabella Slamans, Isaac Slamans, Brock Thomas, Leo Thomas and Benjamin Slamans, and his great grandchildren, Madeline Hansen, Kaiden Walichnowski, Brady Hansen, Liam Anglin and Samantha Slack.

Les was a brilliant inventor and engineer. During his career, he obtained fourteen patents for egg handling equipment and travelled nearly every region of the world installing and maintaining his inventions. As a husband and father, Les could fix anything and would often be found inventing a new useful household gadget or putting a car together from boxes of parts. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing.

Above all, Les will be remembered as a loving husband and father. His family was his life. Being a man of few words, his compassion and support for his family was always his top priority. His family will remember him for his wit and his ever-lasting love.
