Leslie's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie "Lonnie" Peruzzi, a man of character and tenacity, on April 11, 2025. Born on January 17, 1949, Leslie was a beacon of light whose cheerful nature and outgoing personality left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Leslie was predeceased by his loving parents, Mario and Norma Peruzzi, and his cherished sisters, Darlene Hill and Charlene Ronczyk. He is survived by his niece, Sabrina Jackson, and Shelia Lintner, who will continue to treasure the fond memories they shared with him. Leslie's ex-wife, Carol Flores, also survives him, sharing in the mourning of this great loss.
A proud graduate of John Glenn High School, Norwalk, CA in 1966, Leslie spent his leisure time engrossed in photography, one of his favorite forms of art. An affable soul, he loved meeting new people and spending quality time with his dog, Skeeter. Youthful memories of surfing and the beach were ones he held closely. He lived his life by the mantra 'Never judge a book by its cover,' — a philosophy he passed on to those around him.
In addition to his love for family and friends, Leslie had a profound commitment towards his homeland. His service as a Marine was among his greatest accomplishments, expressing his patriotism with immense pride. He led a life without regrets, holding his loved ones close to his heart at all times.
Leslie's legacy was one of kindness. His benevolent spirit, free-spirited nature, and friendly demeanor will continue to live on in our hearts and minds. He encompassed the true meaning of never being forgotten, remaining imprinted in our memories forever.
