Leslie Michelle (“Lu Lu”) New, 46 of Bloomington, IN passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughter Madison Hope (“Mahi”) New, father Roger D. New and step-mother Patricia New, mother Cindy Grubb and step-father Lloyd (“Buck”) Grubb, grandmother Donna Egan, brother Roger Grubb, step-brothers Chad Stephens and Tracy Grubb, step-sisters Twyla Stephens and Tina Johnson, niece Tawni Grubb, nephews Jesse Johnson and Gavin Johnson, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Leslie attended Edgewood High School. She was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post 2000, 5 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Solsberry Chapter, and member of the Eagles Post 1085.  Leslie loved shopping, riding motorcycles, animals, flower shopping with her step-mom Pat, meeting new people and seeing new places. She had an adventurous spirit and after her time with her mom in the Cayman Islands she dreamt of having a cabana on the beach called “Lu Lu’s Tiki Hut”. Leslie enjoyed concerts and had started sharing that experience with her daughter. She was very proud of a guitar she bought at a Trace Adkins concert that Trace signed special to Mahi. Leslie’s favorite and most requested song was Mustang Sally. She was the center of any room or event and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Leslie was “Top Shelf”.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 6, 2023 from 2-4 pm at AMVETS Post 2000.
