High school math class. LCSS portable, Mr Harry Evans. Everyone could not wait until Mr Evans "slipped" out of the room to get something from the office as Les would play the piano and tell interesting tales to entertain and amuse. I remember once he told us he used to dry banana peels and smoke them...( I'm pretty sure this was a ruse to see if the "could kids" would actually try it!)
He was someone that was a bit of an outlier in high school and yet if you say "remember Les Broughton?" everyone does. I'm glad we got the chance to re- connect on Facebook and have some good chats in the last few years. He will be in Heaven giving the angels a good story.
