Lesley's obituary

Lesley April Brown passed away on September 25, 2021.  She was a caring, wonderful and fun loving person. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Lesley.  A  memorial will be held on Sunday October 10, 2021.

Lesley April Brown was Shelia's 1st child born on April 9, 1976 in Avon Park, Florida. She was lovingly raised by Alvie and Noah Brown in Okeechobee, Florida under the guidance and direction of her mother, Sheila. In 2004 she moved to Ruskin Florida with her family. Lesley attended Okeechobee High School. Although, Lesley was never baptized as one of Jehovah Witnesses; her faith and affiliation meant everything to her. In her time of despair, she had Jehovah on her heart. She was passionate and discipline about God's word on abstaining from blood (Acts 15:20) even when she experienced blood loss. Lesley loved life. She always tried to live her life according to bible principles.

Lesley put her heart and soul into everything she did; giving her all. She loved writing in her journal. Writing in her journal was something she was taught by Alvie; who was affectionately known as 'Mommer.' Lesley would take time to make daily journal entries to write about her day. These moments were so precious for them and will be sorely missed. Lesley was such a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, cousin, niece and spiritual friend. However, to her mother; she was her, 'best friend, the perfect roommate, her personal barista' and so much more. But let's think for a moment: What and who did she love?

Lesley loved unconditionally; she enjoyed working, playing with her nieces and nephews and taking care of her precious animals. She helped with housekeeping, babysitting and working at Wild Bill’s with the adjoining Uhaul Lot. Lesley could fold moving blankets like no other. She was the best! Lesley was Uhaul, famous. The customers adored her. She was always supportive of family and friends. When she wasn’t at the Uhaul lot she would divide her time with the CO-OP and hanging out at the Ruskin drive-in with her mother. Working at Cypress Creek CO-OP wasn't work to her; it was a privilege that came with a lot of joy.

She loved working alongside her mentor Cassie Adams, who cared for her like a mother hen who looks after her chicks. Especially close to her heart was her friend Veronica who lives in Michigan. She enjoyed traveling to Michigan on a visit with Veronica. As sticky as glue- were she and Veronica. Daily they talked on the telephone multiple times. They shared laughter, tears,  and stories about who got into trouble on what day. Lesley considered Veronica a sister more than just her BFF.

Lesley, never bowled a perfect 300; but she still enjoyed bowling. For those who didn't know. She was a collector. Lesley loved collecting pens and notebooks. If you had a pen that she seen and wanted; she knew just how to talk you into giving her THAT PEN! We are going to miss her so much. We do hold the future hope of a resurrection as promised by our heavenly father. She leaves so many memories.

Lesley leaves behind to cherish her memories; her mother Sheila Singletary; grandmother Blonnie Barber; Siblings: Julie (Todd); Tara (Scott), April (Jason) Brother Dennis aka Adam and Siara. A host of nieces and nephews: Jullisa (Chad), Julliah (Joseph), Courtney, Kaylee, Julian, Carli. Ava-Denise, Adalynn, Alaya, Emmalyn, Grayson, Evenonta, Davarius, Aaliyah, Amaya, Shyla, Sydney, Anya, DJ, Olivia, Jaylynn, Jordan, Julieann and Jaxa. Her Aunt Sarah Henderson and {cousin Austin} who proceeded her in death on September 22, 2021 and Uncle Wendell (Ashley) Brown.

A special thanks to her Cypress Creek family; special thanks to Ted and Karen Freiwald at the Ruskin drive-in; additional thank you to  Jacky Miller, Deidre and Marilyn of Michigan for always being there for her.
