I will miss Leroy. He was so much fun. I greeted him at every service with a hand salute and called him Capitan. He would sometimes call me Lieutenant. Each week we gave each other a different title. I helped him with his ancestry app. He was surprised to learn that he was 15% French. He was a joy and encouragement to me. I came to service after he passed and I still felt like I was going to turn the corner and see my Capitan sitting there.

Leroy and I used to go to the same church for I think, my entire life, until he departed. When he would step through those doors, we knew it was going to be a great church day. A lot of people looked up to him including me--my family and I were so sad to hear about his recent passing, he was a good man. Even when times were tough, he kept his head up high and made everyone smile. Something that I admired about Leroy was his loyalty and dedication to the church, his religion, and to his family. I hope to be like him when I am older. May he rest in peace.

Rest in Heavenly Peace Uncle Leroy.
I will miss your presence. However, I am happy to know that you are now resting in the Arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No more pain.
Love you,
Stephanie
