Leonard's obituary

Leonard A. Edmonds age 78 of Kingston, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 26, 2022. He was a beloved father, brother and friend . He will forever be missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. Leonard was born on December 20, 1943 and was a lifelong resident of Roane County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Dyer Edmonds; father, Howard Edmonds; mother, Ruby Brooks Edmonds. Leonard leaves behind many loved ones including sons, Scott Edmonds, Allen Edmonds; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Jennifer Edmonds; stepchildren, Jerry Cook (Chrissy), Jimmy Cook and Julia Cook; grandchildren; Jillian, Lauren, Annie, Natalie, Ryan and Alex Edmonds, Brittney Vige, Sierra Cook, Steven Woody, Vincent Cook and Megan Cook, Scott Cook, and Meghan Watkins as well as several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; sister, Mildred Rice (Charles); brother, Enoch Edmonds (Brenda). Leonard was a family man through and through. He was our treasure in life and in death. Leonard was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served from 1965 to 1969. Later he enjoyed a career at TVA Kingston Fossil Plant. He was of the Christian faith and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Kingston. Services for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday July 1st at Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City. Rev. Kevin Webb and Pastor Randy Griffis will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard.
