Leona's obituary

Leona Delaney Osborne, 75 finished her earthly journey on April 20, 2023  after a struggle with respiratory issues at Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, California.  She was born February 1, 1948 in Glendale, California and lived within 20 miles of Los Angeles up until 2015 when she and her beloved husband both retired and relocated to Weldon, California.

We are forever grateful that we had the privilege of having her as a Wife, Mom and Meme. She took unbelievable pride and joy in her family and being together brought her the most happiness.

If you knew Leona, she was always sharing her love and talents with everyone she knew (and didn’t know) whether she was a friend, co-worker, Seminary teacher, teacher, Cub Scout/Girl Scout/Boy Scout leader, Genealogist, fellow Daughter of the American Revolution or any other of the hundreds of ways she served those around her. She always put her whole heart into everything she did and gave 110% every time and in turn set an amazing example of selfless service.

She especially loved cooking and sharing delicious food and if you were fortunate to have been at her table or eaten her food, you could feel the love that she infused into every bite - from snacks to fancy dinners, desserts or even wedding cakes, she loved that food brought people together.

We are grateful for knowing that she is a treasured daughter of our Heavenly Father and we are comforted to know that we will be together again as an eternal family.
