Leon White was born on April 11, 1957 in Sardis, MS. He was the son of The Late Connell M. White Sr. and Thelma Avant White. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Harrisonville MB Church. Leon later re-dedicated his life and became a Jr. Deacon, Mass Choir Member, Mission Worker, and Brotherhood Male Choir Member. He was dedicated until his death. He had a love for God, his family, and his church family.

Leon attended the Lafayette County School District where he remain friends with many of his classmates and built strong relationships with his former teachers. Leon worked for many years at the Oxford School District driving for the Transportation Department and working as a Maintenance Worker until his health declined.
