I had just now heard that Leo passed away. Sad to hear he was a great guy who got along with everyone .

Tony Herrera  2/14/26

Saundra Sue Bousman Zook was my first cousin but we were more like sisters.  As such, and even

though I lived in Indiana and Leo and Sandy lived in Oregon ,we were able to visit regularly.  Joel, my husband, Sandy and Leo & myself had many adventures .  We enjoyed attending the Portland, IN Tractor Engine Show on several occasions.  Leo was always up for an adventure and he made our shared times fun.

Joel and I were visiting at their Troutdale home when our adventure for this day would start early.  Since Leo worked late and usually slept in, Sandy waited to the last minute to wake Leo up for our adventure.  I heard Leo say, "Is it my day to be grumpy?" I have mentioned this comment several times over the years and I always get a chuckle from listeners.

I will remember Leo as more of a brother than a cousin removed because he made me feel like a sister.  Leo's faith in Christ, kindness and care to both his wives, steadfastness to move forward in hope, and his joy in the journey will remain a memory to cherish.

Fly with the angels Leo.
