Leo's obituary

Leo Contreras, age 43, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026. Leo was a proud Houston, Texas Native born to Francisco and Berenice Contreras on November 29, 1982. He is remembered dearly by his best friend, soulmate, partner in crime, and loving wife of 23 years and mother of his five children, Angela. He is survived by his children: Isabella, 18, Lilliana, 15, Ethan, 13, Alexandria, 11, and Lukas, 11, of Charlotte, NC. His maternal grandparents Fidel and Celia Ortiz of Mexico, parents Francisco and Berenice Contreras. His siblings, Esmerelda Contreras and Frankie Contreras along with long time partner Adriana Cruz as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends of Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA. In his short lifetime Leo made a huge impact on his family, friends and community. A memorial will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Connect Church "The Hill Church", 11020 E WT Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28212 at 1pm. There will be a Celebration of Life held at The Nordlund Family Home.
