Lenka Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Troup, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 66 years old.

Born in Dallas, Texas, on November 30, 1958, Lenka lived a full and remarkable life, marked by compassion, generosity, and a deep commitment to serving others. Over the years, she made homes across the country, always bringing warmth, kindness, and a love for life to every place she lived.

Lenka was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Brian; her cherished daughters, Katy (and partner Eric) and Jade (and husband Aaron Boquet); and her adored grandchildren, Allie, Anna, Aaron Jr. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Ruth (and husband Ross) and John (and wife Rani); her loved nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and extended family members.

Her life was deeply touched by adoption — a journey that enriched her heart and family in profound ways.

A faithful Episcopalian, Lenka found strength and community in her faith. She was actively involved in the Master Gardeners program and was known for her green thumb, love of nature, and passion for helping others. Her lifelong dedication to community service touched countless lives, and her legacy of kindness and care will live on in those who knew her.

An animal lover through and through, Lenka always had a place in her heart and home for pets in need. Her quiet strength, warm spirit, and nurturing soul made the world a better place.

Prior to her passing, Lenka was blessed to be present at her living funeral, where she had the rare and beautiful opportunity to see and say goodbye to many of her beloved family and friends. Her life was celebrated with love, laughter, and shared memories. In honor of that meaningful gathering, a large public funeral service will not be held.

In her memory, donations may be made to colon cancer research, a local animal shelter, or by making a blood donation — causes that were close to Lenka’s heart.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
