Lena Dominguez, age 86, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on March 21, 1939, in the same city she called home. She was known for being a strong and resilient person who persevered through many trials in life. She gifted her children with these lifelong qualities.

Lena is survived by her lifelong partner Ernie Duran, her children Linda Lopez, Diana Hernandez, Rudy Freese, Johnny Dominguez, and Ruby Dominguez, her grandchildren Ray Jr, Christopher, Priscilla, Lorraine, Crystal, Jose, Bob Jr, Lori, Sabrina, Adam, Tiffany, Rudy Jr, Isabella, Suzanna, Freddie, China, Johnny, Carlos, and her sister Mary, as well as many nieces and nephews. Lena is predeceased by her son Ronald Freese, her parents Adelaido and Juana Cabecera and siblings Angie Baca and Adelaido Jr. Cabecera. Lena’s family roots ran deep in Phoenix, where she built her life and was proud to call home.

She found joy in spending time with family and friends over meals at her favorite restaurants. Whether it was a casual lunch or a special dinner, she enjoyed these outings very much, especially when it had to do with Chinese food. Lena also enjoyed going shopping and was known to buy treats for those she was with. At home, she delighted in watching her Novelas that brought drama and excitement into her daily life. She also enjoyed phone calls with family but especially the ones with her beloved sister Mary. Last but not least, Lena loved her dog Baby. Baby brought companionship, comfort, and happiness to her days.

Although Lena's family and friends will miss her presence, we know that one day we will be able to see her again and in that time she will be young, healthy, and beautiful. For now we know she is resting peacefully and is no longer in pain. The family wants to express thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.
